Events in New Brunswick

Most people living with ALS lose some or complete use of their hands and legs within the first two years of their diagnosis. There are many activities they would like to do while they still could; and activities that friends and family may want to do on their behalf.

The ALS Society of New Brunswick encourages you to participate in one or all the events that are held each year. These events raise awareness as well as important funds for research and client support services.

WALK FOR ALS

Thank you for your support in 2011. We raised nearly $100,000 at this year's Walk for ALS. We couldn't have done this without you and your amazing support.

Your support allows us to fund spirit-raising research through the ALS Society of Canada, as well as client service programs (support groups, equipment recycling & purchase program) of the ALS Society of Canada.

SPIRIT 2012



A Celebration of South American Wine & Culture
in support of the ALS Society of New Brunswick


The 2011 SPIRIT Gala was a fabulous success.
We thank everyone who participated for their support.

(for which you will receive a $50 tax receipt).

THIRD PARTY EVENT FUNDRAISING

Thank you to everyone who supported the ALS Society of New Brunswick in 2010 by holding a third party event. We appreciate your support. This year nearly $4,000 was raised through third party events including fundraising draws, bbq's and breakfasts.

So far in 2011, nearly $20,000 has been raised through Third Party Events to benefit ALS Clients in New Brunswick.

You can provide support to people living with ALS through a fundraising event supporting the ALS Society of New Brunswick. Golf tournaments, garage sales, family or company celebrations are just a few ideas for holding a fundraising event.

The ALS Society of New Brunswick may be able to provide your event with the following:
  • A representative of the ALS Society of New Brunswick to attend (participate or speak) at your event.
  • As appropriate, a representative of the ALS Society of New Brunswick to participate in a cheque presentation at your event.
  • ALS brochures and fact sheets
  • A letter in support of the event (if required).
  • Event advertised in on www.alsnb.ca
  • Other materials such as balloons, magnets, lapel flowers etc, if available
If you are interested in holding a third party event, please take a few moments to review our guide sheets, including 'Before You Begin' and 'Top Ten Tips', before downloading the Third Party Event Application Form.
