Volunteer Opportunities

ALS Society of New Brunswick exists because of the hard work of our volunteers. The ALS Society of New Brunswick recognizes and affirms the involvement of volunteers at all levels of the organization as a vital component to achieving its mission: to help persons living with ALS access the best possible support, care and treatment and engage in advocacy raising awareness and education.

The ALS Society of New Brunswick is committed to supporting and nurturing volunteerism by providing guidance, resources and recognition to all volunteers in a mutually beneficial relationship. Each year volunteers across the province provide invaluable support to persons with ALS and their families and raise funds through special events within their community to support programs and services.

There are many opportunities to volunteer with the ALS Society of New Brunswick. Volunteers are needed on an ongoing basis to provide support to persons with ALS and their families and to create awareness, to educate and to advocate within those communities. Volunteers are also needed to help with planning fundraising events or helping out on the day of the event.

Volunteering Advantages:

In addition to helping the ALS Society of New Brunswick and its clients, there are many personal advantages to volunteering. The list of reasons to volunteer below was developed by Volunteer Canada.
